Lip blush is a lip tattoo. It gives a subtle wash of color over the lips, helping to enhance the natural lip color, evens out tones, definition, improve symmetry, and give the illusion of fuller lips. It is achieved through implantation of pigments into the epidermis/ dermis junction with a tattoo machine and needles. (Similar to a traditional tattoo.)
There are several different levels of lip tattoos. What we focus on is a more of a subtle wash of color versus the lipstick look. This is called lip blush/ watercolor lips, or aquarelle lips.
It is NOT the same as fillers. Fillers is used for volume and fullness, whereas lip blush focuses mainly on color and tones of the lips.

Absolutely. However, it would be scheduled at least 4 weeks apart of each other.
Yes, to a certain degree. Usually at most only 2mm thicker. Since lip skin and facial skin is different, pigment will heal differently. To better predict healing and avoid unwanted harsh lip lines, pigment cannot be deposited on any skin with pores and hair follicles.
Pain in subjective. Pain tolerance will vary depending on each client. With that said, lips are one of the most sensitive parts on the body due to the abundance of nerve endings. Compared to brows, lips in general are rated higher on the pain scale. However, topical numbing will be used to help with pain.
To help with pain:
Avoid booking their appointments during their menstrual cycle
Avoid taking blood thinners and caffeine at least 24 hours prior to their appointment
Take Tylenol at least 30 minutes prior to start of their appointment
Clients who have scars, whether from cold sores, sun damage, or past lip tattoo are more sensitive as well
Average initial healing phase lasts 4-6 days. During this time is when the lips will flake and peel as if the clients have really dry flaky lips. Most restrictions falls within this initial healing phase. Total healing time is 8 weeks while pigment settles in and lip skin fully heals.
